Since 2002, the North Kitsap Schools Foundation has awarded $680,000 in grants directly to educators (including teachers, principals, librarians and other certificated personnel) across all schools and grade levels in the North Kitsap School District.

Grants are awarded to specific individuals or programs for innovative and exciting learning opportunities.   Members of the foundation board review all grant applications at the beginning of the school year and select proposals for funding. The number of grants awarded varies from year to year, guided by budget restrictions.  Partial grants may also be awarded.

Donations to NKSF help fund STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) equipment, CTE (Career and Technical Education) programs, field trips to extend learning beyond the classroom, instructional support for budding readers and writers, materials for art, music and PE and more.
