Poulsbo Middle School is located across Hostmark Street from North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo. It serves Poulsbo and the Keyport and Vinland areas.
NK Schools Foundation has awarded five Classroom Grants to Poulsbo Middle School staff. The funded projects include Cardio Pulmanary Rescusitation materials for health classes, English Language Learner books, classroom technology allowing the students and teacher to interact remotely with material on the white board, and materials for their highly successful Peer Mentoring Program.
English teacher Gayl TenEyck used grant money to partially fund a cooperative program called Teens Teaching Tobacco where Health Department staff taught 9th graders how to teach elementary students about the negative aspects of tobacco use. The teams of 9th graders then made presentations to 5th graders around the District.
