Kingston High

Kingston High School opened in 2007 and is the newest school in the North Kitsap School District.  It is located on the outskirts of Kingston and also serves the communities of Indianola, Jefferson Point, Eglon, Hansville, Little Boston, and Port Gamble.

Teacher Kari Denton used North Kitsap Schools Foundation classroom grant money to help fund activities where students experienced a tea ceremony, a bonsai activity, and built a Japanese style gate at Kingston High.

Math teacher Corey Burchill purchased a wireless tablet device so that he and students can “write” on the white board from anywhere in the classroom.  Mr. Burchill said that its a valuable tool in keeping students all over the room focused on the activity at the front of the room.  After seeing him use the device other Kingston teachers have expressed an interest in obtaining them.
