The Spectrum Alternative Program is housed at Spectrum Community School near Kingston High School. It provides an alternative to the traditional high school experience.

In 2007, teacher Bob Geballe  developed a “Sustainability” curriculum for high school students, part of which was creating a vegetable garden at the school.  He received a North Kitsap Schools Foundation Grant to buy supplies for students to build a garden enclosure, provide irrigation, and purchase seeds and plants.
